Background

Born in Pynursla of East Khasi Hills district and was educated and brought up in Kolkata (Calcutta) under the care of his parents where he had studied at Don Bosco School Park Circus DBPC and at Don Bosco School Liluah DBL both prominent Salesian institutions during his school days and later went to complete his higher education and a Bachelors Degree. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Bengali, Pnar and Khasi.

Experience

He has had close to 12 years work experience in government service while at New Delhi and later upon leaving the government sector he went on serve the rural communities under the MRDS led-IFAD LIPH project at Saipung Block. He has sound experience in administrative and community engagement as part of the MRDS-IFAD project that was implemented in Jaintia Hills District.

More than 15 years of experience managing community initiatives in agriculture, forestry conservation, and rural arts development. Initiatives for promoting SHGs, rural tourism, Coordinated livestock and horticulture projects and so on. He also had experience in community development project management, administrative and office management, partly in the IT sector with Satyam in Hyderabad. Strong background in communication and inter-personal skills, project implementation, project analysis. Proven skills in project training, project planning,and multi tasking works. Demonstrated ability in the IFAD project under MRDS and later on with NABARD funded project.
